As a project manager and digital consultant having spent 8 years working in the NHS, I thrive in supporting general practices, care homes and other care providing organisations to make technology actually work for them. My focus is on helping healthcare teams implement digital solutions and manage projects smoothly, so they can improve patient care and run more efficiently.
I combine practical experience with a collaborative approach, guiding projects from planning to delivery and making sure they deliver real results. I’m passionate about helping healthcare teams navigate digital change without the headaches, so they can focus on what matters most - patients.
Redesigned the patient navigation process by mapping the most effective request routes, implementing an AI-powered triage system, delivering regular training to the triage team, and developing EMIS tools to automate triage decisions.
Increased uptake and usage of online services with patient engagement campaigns, training sessions within community groups, partnering with charities to provide digital support, devices and connectivity, increasing functionality of online services and configuring dashboards to track changes.
Increased digital maturity in social care homes including electronic medication ordering, NHS-assured digital social care records, NHSmail, shared care records and the data security and protection toolkit.
Increased uptake of pharmacy referrals by automating the referral process with EMIS tools such as a protocol and concepts that automatically determines the patients eligibility for the service. Provided regular training to the triage team and developed patient-facing approaches to encourage self-care through pharmacy referrals.
Investigated automation opportunities for a group of general practices, including resource analysis of Docman processing. Conducted market research on AI-driven document management platforms to assess efficiency gains and organisational impact.
Improved service delivery by creating and optimising EMIS searches and reports to identify carers, increasing coding accuracy and engaging cohorts through multiple communication channels (waiting room screens, newsletters, patient groups, flu clinics).
Streamlined triage efficiency by redesigning automated phone line workflows, improving patient access and staff workload distribution.
Supervised high school students during summer placements, involving them in patient email collection (to reduce SMS costs), administrative tasks and promoting online service adoption through one-to-one and telephone support.
Worked directly with Ardens to support in creating large suites of searches and reports in EMIS for general practices to help with contract compliance, data quality, monitoring of local contract activity and payments.
Represented the BNSSG ICB at the Accurx national webinar, presenting on the work done to optimise SMS usage and increase uptake and usage of online services.
Configured all local referral templates to auto-populate with patient demographics and consultation details so that referrals can be made quickly and efficiently.
Redesigned the GP practice website to ensure it adheres to the latest NHS guidelines and complimented the local and national initiatives.
